FAQ's

Is there a catalog of the collection?
The Corporate Art department has not produced a catalog because the collection is constantly growing, and it would be impossible to create a comprehensive representation of the collection. The artwork is digitally archived for internal reference.

Is the art collection open to the public?
The artwork is installed throughout Progressives offices, which are private workplaces; therefore the collection is not open to the public. The Corporate Art department makes tours available for museum and educational groups on a limited basis.

Does Progressive sell art from its collection?
In 2005, Progressive implemented a self-funding initiative to augment the growth of the Progressive Art Collection. We plan to leverage the monetary value of certain artworks in the collection that have significantly appreciated and are not considered integral to the history of Progressive, its people, or the art collection.

Progressive believes strongly in its unique culture and the distinctive role the art collection plays within this culture. Our willingness to acquire new art through self-funding provides evidence of this belief and emulates Progressive’s overall business strategy of maintaining low costs.

Self-funding the Progressive Art Collection is a critical editing process and its success will improve the quality of the art collection while simultaneously provide funding for its growth.

Does Progressive loan artwork to other corporations or institutions?
Progressive occasionally loans artwork to non-profit institutions. Loan decisions are based on the specific piece chosen, the duration of the loan and the conditions for transporting the artwork.

Where does the art come from?
Artwork is purchased from galleries and artists throughout the world.
